Hello everyone, I hope you're all right. I
study chemistry and pharmacy for about 4 years, in general I find that in the University
of Chile you have a good method of teaching that will serve us for our future
jobs, but anyway there are things that disgust me a little about their program.
One of them is that in many courses they do not focus the contents on what we
are going to do in the future, so we do not find much sense. Another thing that
disgusts me is that they put a lot of obstacles to taking courses, by this I
mean that sometimes they ask you as a prerequisite to approve certain courses
to be able to take others being that among them they have none connection. An example is the course of
"legislation", it’s asked for "pharmacognosy" in order to
study it, since plants and laws do not have much relation to each other.
The duration of the studies is very long
should be five and half years, but being such a difficult race ton average
egress borders between 7 to 8 years , it’s very sad, I know it. But I hope that
the hours without sleep, the days without seeing our parents or boyfriends are
worth the effort in the future. Because we give everything, really everything
until our mental health to finish the career.
With regard to the facilities there are
many things pending and this is more noticeable on rainy days since we have
nowhere to be, but little by little progress is progressing, and in the
teaching infrastructure we have what is right and necessary to get to understand
the subjects. Being honest, the teaching methods don't work for me much because
I don't withhold past information in a class, I need to discuss it in my home.
For the same reason, I hardly attend study classes on my own most of the time
because it's the way it accommodates me.
