Nanotechnology in medicine of the future

Nanotechnology is multidisciplinary field comprising the biology, chemestry, physics,engineering, etc... and it has great importance in fields such as computer science, communications, microelectronics, biotechnology and medicine.

Thanks to the progress made by nanotechnology are emerging breakthroughs in the treatment of various diseases, such as cancer, autoimmune, cardiovascular, neurological, etc. Probably one of the most common applications is the use of nanoparticles as carrier vehicles for controlled drug delivery; it is shown that one of it benefits is improving the stability, solubility and the biodistribution in the body... In this way medications are more effective and will require less doses of these, reducing possible side effects and improving the quality of live of patients.

The importante of pharmaceutical nanotechnology for therapies with drugs resides on the possibilities to deliver drugs of low molecular weight as well as macromolecules like peptides, proteins and genes, in a localized or guided manner to certain tissue of interest.

I informed of them when I saw one documental in a scientifics channel,the truth I found a theme very interesting and promising... And I chose when the nanotechnology focusing on the area of the medicine, because I think this generate greater progress for the humanity, helping to solve the great mYsteries of the diseases.
